HeartStart UK is a go
December 18th, 2008
FastAid got the go ahead from the British Heart Foundation (BHF) to commence training member’s of the community in using Emergency Life Support (ELS) skills.
The BHF have provided all the training resources and the West Midlands Ambulance Service have provided all the instructor training so that the CFR’s can deliver a free comprehensive 2 hour course to teach members of the public the set of actions needed to help keep someone alive until professional help arrives.
They will also be talking about the work the CFR’s do and how important an Automated Electronic Defibrillator can be in saving lives, and collecting any donations to help fund the future work of FastAid.
Fastaid are now working on increasing the availability of the free courses to all areas of the Birmingham and Black Country locality, and so are looking for any volunteer’s who have expeirance in either first aid or teaching groups who would like to offer there time to help their local community.
